city clean-up

Several times a year we partner with city officials, community leaders, and other ministries to clean our local parks and streets and restore public spaces that have been neglected or vandalized. Our goal is to be the hands and feet of Jesus not just by preaching and teaching, but by actively caring for the earth he created.

CLOTHING DONATIONS
|
Several times throughout the year we host clothing drives and collect donations of new and gently used clothing that is suitable for donation. The clothing may be distributed to local families who may have experienced a disaster in their home, low-income communities is the outskirts of Penitas TX, or to our adopted colony in Matamoros, Mexico.

community FALL FESTIVAL |
Every year on Halloween weekend we put together a festival filled with food, games, prizes, and live music to provide families and children in our community a safer alternative to traditional "trick-or-treating". Our leaders and volunteers are prepared not only to run the games and booths, but to minister to anyone who is in need of prayer.

Christmas toys & blankets |
Throughout the month of December our church collects gently used and new toy donations from members of the congregation for our annual Mexico outreach. Other members of the community, as well as local school organizations help us collect approximately 300 toys for the children and teenagers of Colonia Invasion Agosto Dos.

HOMELESS care |
During the Winter season we encourage the church community to donate blankets, jackets, beanies, and socks for our local homeless population. Apart from the winter outreach we prepare "Care-Kits" with essentials to pass out to the homeless community valley-wide.

LOVE WEEK |
Once a year our youth and young adults serve the community by passing out free water, collecting and organizing clothing donations, preparing homeless care-kits, hosting an art event, and hosting a worship night. We actively love community while providing our members with training on servanthood.

SCHOOL Supply Giveaway |
Every Summer our Kindle Kids Team organizes an event at SoulFire Revival Center focused on bringing in children from the community and teaching them about Jesus through songs, dances, skits, crafts, games, and Bible Studies. The team canvases neighborhoods and evangelizes as they inform parents of our Kindle Kids Ministry. Each child in attendance receives a back-to-school supply packet!

DISASTER RELIEF
|
When natural disasters affect our region, we offer food and water to those who are suffering loss, work with the city to perform city clean-up days, and occasionally open the building as a makeshift shelter. When disasters occur in other parts of the state we rally with other ministries to collect and distribute charitable donations to serve those in immediate need.
